| Il lab3 pulito e pronto all'opera! The lab3 clean and ready to work! |
Mentre alcuni lavori sono in fase avanzata di revisione (si, ma che fatica!) l'attività di ricerca deve lasciare dello spazio alla didattica. Ecco così Sara che tiene alcune lezioni di biologia introduttiva al corso di Scienze Biologiche, Andrea che continua i lavori sui suoi Protozoi, di eco-tossicologia e di test di laser biomedicali e procede la collaborazione con il gruppo di esperti di scienze polari e biologia dei pesci cartilaginei.
Abbiamo anche avuto una nuova laureata nel lab3, un momento sempre importante.
Ci si prende anche cura dei nostri anellidi che tanto ci stanno aiutando nella ricerca.
Il mese prossimo nella bellissima Bologna si terrà il Congresso della Società Italiana di Biologia Sperimentale SIBS

e vi aggiorneremo dell'andamento dei lavori appena possibile.
Sono tante le cose in corso e non possiamo dire più di questo per adesso.
Si seguono anche con interesse i seminari bisettimanali del DISTAV all'Università di Genova, gli ultimi due con il Prof. Bavestrello, zoologo ed ecologo Marino, che ha raccontato la storia degli studi dell'area marina del Promontorio di Portofino e del Prof Elter che ci ha raccontato la sua interessante esperienza geologica, di vita e di lavoro. Speriamo di tornare presto con notizie di qualche piccolo traguardo dei naviganti del lab3, qui ai margini della biologia.
Rapid thelab3 update.
After the pleasant parenthesis of the visit of Prof. Barbara Zielinski, the work is started fast and intense.
While some articles are in advanced stages of review (very difficult, ever....) The research activity takes a back seat because of the teaching. That's so Sara holding some introductory biology classes in the course of Biological Sciences, Andrea continues work on his Protozoans, eco-toxicology problem and biomedical laser tests and the collaboration with the CNR group of experts of polar science and biology of cartilaginous fish.
We also had a new graduate in the lab3, an important occasion for us.
It also takes care of our annelids that are helping us so much in the research.
Next month will be held in the beautiful Bologna Congress of the Italian Society of Experimental Biology SIBS

and we will update you on progress of work as soon as possible.
There are so many things going on and we can not say more than that for now.
It also followed with interest the biweekly seminars DISTAV of the University of Genoa, the last two with Prof. Bavestrello a zoologist and marine ecologist, who told the story of the studies of the marine area of the Portofino Promontory and Prof Elter that told us his interesting geological experience, of life and work.
We hope to come back soon with news of some small goal of sailors of LAB3, here at the edge of biology.
